A Life Devoted
to Music

Rui Xi is a pianist, educator, and collaborative musician currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at Arizona State University. A graduate of Indiana University Bloomington and Xi’an Conservatory of Music, she is active in solo and collaborative performance and has received honors including Finalist in The American Prize in Piano Performance (Solo), College/University Division (2026), Gold Medalist in the Seattle International Competition, Virtuosos Series (2025), and Platinum Medalist in the Quebec Music Competition, Professional Category (2025). Her research centers on contemporary piano repertoire and music by living women composers.
